 * My inquiry can be ignored as I’ve moved on to using a different vendor’s slider.
As of this writing, there’s been no response to any posts in a few months. For
the benefit of others, it’d be helpful to clarify that the plugin is no longer
supported (rather than evaluate the plugin, post a question, and not receive
   a response).

 * Dear Mr. [Dembowski](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jdembowski/) –
 * I was struck by the unprofessional, rude tone of your response to the technical
support staff at Smart Slider. I benefit greatly from accurate reviews, and the
review is indeed of a technical support nature and not a meaningful review of
   the product.
 * I have no affiliation with Smart Slider. I run a small site called Good Human
Habitat. This said, I’ve found the staff at Smart Slider to be incredibly helpful,
and professional. In contrast, your treatment of their support staff smacks of
a small amount of power (as a WordPress moderator) manifesting as unpleasant,
and corrosive to the aims of an open-source platform like WordPress.
 * I was so struck by your rude tone in the thread above that I did a bit of Googling
and learned that you’ve got a negative reputation for condescending unhelpful
responses. My public-facing request to you is to think more carefully about your
   responses to individuals.
 * I am not interested in some inane discussion on this thread so responding would
be a waste of time. I would ask that you simply demonstrate more professionalism
and respect to others going forward.

 * I have the pro version and have folders for posts working. I just found it confusing
that folders for posts was not enabled by default as it was for the earlier version.
 * Thanks again.

 * I reinstalled 1.6.5, uninstalled sucessfully (removing all data) and installed
   the latest version.
 * With this new version, I was a bit thrown off by iFolders not being available
by default for posts, and I had to experiment a bit with the permissions settings
to get it to display. With the previous version, no additional work was required
to organize Posts (if memory serves correct)
 * If most users are like me, they will naturally want to categorize not only media
   but their posts as well.
 * One usability issue relates to enabling a folder type. The UI suggests that you
can click on the slider button beneath the column labeled “Enabled”, but nothing
happens. Eventually, I understood that you needed to click the checkbox next
to the folder type, edit it and enable it there. If you could update the “Enabled”
column to display a tag that is clearly read-only that would avoid confusion.
Or simply a label that reads “Yes” / “No” rather than the slider button that
   looks as if it’s selectable.
 * Thanks for you previous / prompt response.

 * I do not have the ability to access the settings you reference because I’ve already
removed the plugin and cannot reinstall it (or perhaps I can get a hold of a
zip for the previous version? ) [continued below]

 * From what I’ve read, modifying functions.php quite a risky thing to do. I realize
that’s why you’re asking that I create a backup, but still. To avoid modifying
the file directly, I’ve installed a plugin called WPCode which should allow me
to execute the PHP code you provided. The problem is when I paste the code in,
I’m told I’ve got errors. I’m not familiar with PHP, and would need some guidance
to move beyond the error below.

 * Appreciate your quick reply. My apologies. You are correct in that this is not
a defect. I had completely forgotten that I need to **manually **drag the post
into the desired folder after it’s created, which is not a big deal.
   In terms
of a feature enhancement, it might be nice to have a configuration setting that
enabled IFolders to automatically display posts within a folder associated with
a category, but I don’t know if that would be a headache to implement. It might
be tricky if a post is associated with multiple WordPress categories. I’m thinking
that it’d be a optional config setting because there may be users who prefer
to organize posts in some other way other than the post category.
 * Best,
   Patrick
