In reply to: Database repair fails after configuring multisiteI just created a new database and new user, changed the settings in wp-config.php, and I’m getting the same error.
Is there a way to configure multisite completely from the command line without going through wp-admin in the browser? This should be a straightforward, easily understandable script, not some hard to debug process requiring a browser.

In reply to: Database repair fails after configuring multisiteI just clicked the repair link on the page.
This is a brand new installation on a Linode. I have no idea why it thinks it needs to repair anything when I’m just trying to enable multisite.

In reply to: Individual commenter blacklistsI spent a lot of time on Usenet back in the day and appreciate the idea of letting users decide who they find worth interacting with. Surely WordPress can meet the capabilities of 30 year old technology.
Plus, banning people just creates virtual martyrs. I like my stupid right out in public where I can see it.

In reply to: Theme that supports two bloggersThat may be part of the solution. Here’s a little more detail:
My wife and her writing partner are blogging to generate interest in their upcoming book. They want to cover topics from the perspectives of both a single woman and a married woman. The idea is that two or three times a week they’ll post an article on the same topic. They would like a theme that displays these as essentially a combined post, side by side, and associates comments with the pair.
Thanks again.
