So what happens is that if you download and install the latest plugin version with WordPress 3.8 it gives you an error and the plugin is deactivated. Patches had been [submitted from other users](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/when-will-the-qtranslate-update-for-wp-38-be-available-1?replies=32), which resolve this issue. * Then I found and applied [other fixes](http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/304233/wp-qtranslate-notices.patch) which avoid [other errors](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/qtranslate-notice-undefined-index?replies=4) related to current locale check giving errors in debug mode. With those patches applied, the plugin works well for me. * Anyway you need to change plugin’s core files, which is not recommended for you will lose those changes when you make an update. Try to switch to one of the default themes. So could be either you made a different query for your others categories, or that something on pagenavi settings menu could be checked.
