 * Hi [@arnaudbroes](https://wordpress.org/support/users/arnaudbroes/) .
 * Sorry for delayed reply. Somehow that link wasn’t working for me earlier. However
   I re-tried it and now it works. Possibly user error.
 * I followed the url and updated a post, you are correct. The [ping ](https://i.imgur.com/Ezv3d7C.png)
   [actions](https://i.imgur.com/h4VHX8I.png) do exist on that page. It [seems the action](https://i.imgur.com/wtzjXkO.png)
   was executed too.
 * However, Google hasn’t updated the [sitemap page](https://i.imgur.com/QSxqOj6.png)
   at all. I guarantee you. If I had posted an article, Google wouldn’t recognize
   it at all. Will give “not discovered” or something like that on the url check
   page. It will stay like that for days.
 * However, after doing the above and waiting for the Google Search Console Sitemap
   page to change, then I pinged Google directly using this link:
 *     ```wp-block-code
       https://www.google.com/ping?sitemap=https://site.com/sitemap.xml
       ```
 * It immediately updates the [sitemap page](https://i.imgur.com/0eG5Uyd.png). Suggesting
   that AIOSEO is not able to ping Google correctly here.
 * Hi [@arnaudbroes](https://wordpress.org/support/users/arnaudbroes/) . Thanks
   for the reply.
 * I must say, I’m not as technically expert to know cron jobs in details. Having
   said, I installed two different plugins. [This](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-crontrol/)
   and [this](https://wordpress.org/plugins/leira-cron-jobs/). To check if there
   are any cronjob events on my site for AIOSEO and after repeated searches, I cannot
   find any instances of it.
 * Now, if you are using some other methods that the likes of Jetpack and Google
   Sitekit aren’t, making the AIOSEO’s cronjobs not visible in the above plugins,
   then I am not aware.
 * What I can say however is that we have not disabled cron on my site. I checked
   the wp-config file and I found no instances of any mention of it being disabled.
   I’m also pretty sure that it’s not disabled at the server level either.
 * I also checked the ping.php file. Except the $test = line, it matches with your
   screenshot.
 * Yes I am aware about how Google Search Console behaves. Whenever I check the
   url of a new article, I don’t know the exact words, but it says something like
   url is unknown to Google.
 * It’s only after I ping Google manually that Google says url is discovered by
   the sitemap.xml. Crawling / indexing comes later. I’m mostly concerned about
   the url not getting discovered part.
 * About sitemap, I have followed all the guidelines by AIOSEO and have added it
   properly to Google Search Console. Though the search console behaves differently(
   in indexing) when I add the sitemap.rss in addition to the xml one, but that’s
   for another time and possibly Google’s fault.
 * As for featured image, I see. Can I suggest you something. How about adding an
   option of detecting featured image. Whether a user wants featured image to be
   counted as part of the article or not and effect the SEO scores. Please think
   about it.
 * Hi [@lastsplash](https://wordpress.org/support/users/lastsplash/) . Thanks for
   taking time to reply.
 * Problem is, as I said, I am not a member on GitHub and hence I am not experienced
   as how GitHub works as a member. Honestly I might or might not register on it
   soon. I would prefer if someone more experienced than me in dealing with GitHub
   raise request issues.
 * Also, I checked, apparently, UptimeRobot is not counted in visitors. However,
   Better Uptime and StatusCake most likely is.
 * About the main downtime monitoring issues. As suggested, I am on the email with
   the Jetpack guys. However, nothing much has come out of it yet.
 * I am copy pasting one of my lines from there:
 * The 8 and half hour thing happened, the problem was on the server side. I am
   told that the problem was database related. I did check the site in the middle
   and it was showing an error connecting to the database. I dobut Cloudflare could
   play a role. As otherwise I wouldn’t be able to see that error myself when I
   opened the site myself.
 * Thing is, I got 500 error (or was it 521, I don’t remember), so I doubt Cloudflare
   or Cloudflare online should cause a problem in reporting to the Jetpack there.
 * Hi [@muffinpeace](https://wordpress.org/support/users/muffinpeace/) .
 * I appreciate you taking time and replying. I personally find Jetpack to be among
   the best WordPress plugins out there. Especially because it has so many features
   in it’s free version.
 * 1. A) I already have disabled [counting stats](https://i.imgur.com/ai1ZwWz.png)
   for registered users. That’s not my issue. I issue is that if I open the site
   without logging in, then login, it still counts my non-logged in visit in same
   session inside the stats. It should be able to understand that a person logged
   in hence no need to count his / her non-logged in current ongoing session in
   stats.
 * This is a very small issue. But I thought there’s a room for improvement.
 * Thing is, WordPress logs me out every few to several days. No matter how much
   I try to make sure it remembers me, it logs me out after several days. Requiring
   me to login. Hence it counting myself in stats when not logged in, is something
   I noticed.
 * B) All site page speed checking sites are counted as visitors from what I know.
   Google Pagespeed Index and GMatrix to name a couple.
 * Similarly, all known uptime monitoring services are counted as visitors. “Better
   Uptime”, StatusCake too possibly. I have not checked but UptimeRobot can be added
   to it.
 * When I signed up for these services, I was getting like a hundred visitors per
   day counted in Jetpack stats, all from these services. It should not count them
   as real visitors.
 * C) Thanks for the Github link. Good to see there was some consideration about
   that. I hope to see such being implemented sooner. Either through an API or through
   some other way.
 * D) Thanks. I will check and reply later on it.
 * 2. Thanks. I will check and reply. Though I have never made a GitHub account
   before and have no experience in using it as a member.
 * 3. Thanks. I will give detailed information on it. But there’s one thing for
   sure. Jetpack downtime monitoring is not working on my side.
 * 4. Thanks. The Jetpack Firewall page I checked already. Besides rules based protection,
   it does not mention anything else. DDoS was just an example I used.
 * How about ability to import a list of pre-defined IP addresses. Can that feature
   be added to it.
 * I see. Thanks for all the information. Very helpful.
 * Please do send the feedback above in anyway possible.
 * About Analytics. I am of view that Analytics should allow disabling individual
   parts of tracking – if not done already. This would reduce tracking and resource
   usage.
 * About AMP, I was told it affects ad revenue – maybe not.
 * Just one more question. If I apply for Adsense. How long might it take for approval.
   What are the requirements for its approval. Like do I need to have certain number
   of visitors for approval. Do I need things like site owner / author information
   and a good privacy policy for approval. Again sorry if these questions are not
   part of your assignment there.
 * Hi [@jamesosborne](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jamesosborne/).
 * Thanks for the answer. That’s what I wanted to know. So thanks for clarifying.
 * I know it’s not part of your work. But can I request two things. These two you
   can look into or forward it to the respective Google representatives specialised
   in it.
 * First is, can the Google Analytics load the script from its own links rather
   than Tag Manager. If not then somehow redirect the script to appear as coming
   from Analytics. This would prevent any confusion.
 * Second is, why are the Tag Manager scripts so heavy. I know Lighthouse Treemap
   shows only some parts of the scripts are loaded. But even then, it feels too
   heavy. As per Google’s own Speed rankings it is too heavy. What can one even
   do to fix that. Is there no way to reduce the size of the scripts. Like, if we
   have no use for Goals in Analytics then allow us to disable that part in the
   script from being loaded.
 * I know all this is not part of this plugin. But if you can send the feedback
   forward it would be of great help to everyone.
 * Hi again [@codersantosh](https://wordpress.org/support/users/codersantosh/) .
 * We finally found the problem. I really thank the server admin for helping me
   out with this. The problem seems to be on the plugin side and you need to look
   into it.
 * – We tried disabling all plugins but it did not work.
 * – We tried development mode in Cloudflare, cleared the cache. Still did not work.
 * – We checked REST API, it was enabled properly. But the problem was still there.
 * Then we found the problem.
 * Thing is, we use a custom Permalink settings. In it, we [arranged links by category and then by post name](https://i.imgur.com/wL1FPBc.png).
   When saving a page in custom permalink. It did not load the Gutentor Featured
   Post Type.
 * However, when changing the Permalink Settings to just Plain. Then creating a
   new post in Gutentor Featured Post Type, the widget loads completely fine after
   saving it.
 * That created page works fine even after switching back to custom permalink. So
   the problem seems to be, permalink structure during saving the page, not during
   opening it.
 * So my request is, can you look into why this plugin is not working working properly
   in Custom permalink structure and please fix it.
 * Hi again.
 * [This is the screenshot](https://i.imgur.com/ExUo63z.png) of the error message
   I get when loading and then saving the post.
 * I must mention, no such problem happens when I tried other Gutenburg based page
   editor plugins on the site.
