 * I tend to agree with you [@anweb](https://wordpress.org/support/users/anweb/)
   we have been using it from Oct last year, and indeed the new version has been
   horrible. We fear clicking the version update button as it brought our site down
   the last time. This shouldn’t be the case! it is wasting a lot of our effort 
   trying to restore our site.
