 * Hi,
    Although I can download themes or plugins manually I can’t figured out why
   the automatic installation is not working. The error message now is changing
   and says this:
 * Installation failed: Could not copy file. buddypress/bp-core/images/60pc_black.
   png
 * Installation failed: Could not copy file. twentytwenty/assets/images/2020-landscape-
   1.png
 * Any help, please?

 * Hi,
 * What I’ve done is to go to the root where I have WordPress installed and I checked
   the folders. I installed some plugins by downloading the plugin into the wp-content
   folder/plugin folder. It worked, but if I have to do this every time it would
   be contra productive. I also noticed that when I deleted the default plugins,
   I got a message saying that the plugin wasn’t deleted completely. It doesn’t
   appear on the dashboard but it still in the plugin folder. Furthermore, there
   is a default file in both, plugins and themes folders named Index that says only
   a short code message:
    <?php // Silence is golden. Any thoughts about what is
   this file for and why the automatic downloading doesn’t work? Thanks

 * Hi there,
 * Thanks for the links but I couldn’t follow the guidelines. I am not familiar
   with the process of transferring files using an SFTP client. Besides, I don’t
   know where else I can get the installation file of a plugin or theme outside
   WordPress, and then installing them back to WordPress manually.
    My local virtual
   host has no content. I decided to delete and created a new one, by the way I’m
   using WAMP server. Unfortunately, it didn’t sort out the problem. I can’t understand
   what is causing the problem. There’s no plugins or themes apart from the default
   ones that should cause any conflict, hence I don’t know why now the automatic
   updating is not working. I can’t download or updated anything.
 * Thanks for your help and interest
