In reply to: When a real good text editor ?see this page and google on issues with the WordPress editor, I don’t think I am alone complaining. Some issues may be related to the theme right, but I have been managing three sites so far with three different themes and always got issues with the editor…

In reply to: When a real good text editor ?I have tried one or two, and they have troubles with formatting too. There is a paying one which claims solving the problems with blank lines, but I didn’t buy it yet. Anyway, WordPress by default should have a decent editor and this is not the case today. I have authors telling me they are inserting blank lines in their text and this does not appear in the rendered view. So do I really have to tell them to go into the raw editor and enter HTML instead? This is unacceptable to them, they are authors, not coders. So there is an option in TinyMCE telling not to insert automatic paragraph and that solves the problem for a while, because doing this creates other problems. In the end this is a mess and I always have authors complaining.

In reply to: Article preview not updating when article is publishedno, I just checked with another website of mine which doesn’t have this problem, it previews fine modifications made into an already published article without the need to update first.

In reply to: Article preview not updating when article is publishedYou would need to update your Posts and then preview it to see your most recent changes.
the point of the Preview function is to preview the post modifications *before* updating the post which is then publicly visible.

In reply to: Article preview not updating when article is publishedI think the problem is that WP should autosave when I hit preview, and it doesn’t do it. The code in /includes/posts.php is:
if ( 'publish' == $post->post_status || $user->ID != $post->post_author ) { // Latest content is in autosave $nonce = wp_create_nonce( 'post_preview_' . $post->ID ); $preview_link = add_query_arg( array( 'preview_id' => $post->ID, 'preview_nonce' => $nonce ), $preview_link ); }
which I get means it gets content from autosave when article is published. But then autosave must be up to date, which is not the case probably for me.

In reply to: Article preview not updating when article is publishedactually I have the problem both remotely and locally using MAMP (local Apache/MySQL install) so this is not a host-only problem.

In reply to: Article preview not updating when article is publishedfound a workaround, but still don’t know what the problem is. Workaround is as follows:
– edit published article
– leave the page clicking on the Dashboard link (scary…), this triggers the autosave
– go back to the article: wordpress says there is a more recent autosave
– accept the autosave
– preview -> now the preview show what has been autosavedSo the issues seems to be related to autosave, it seems that when tapping the Preview button WP should make an autosave, but it doesn’t to it. Any idea ?

In reply to: [WordPress Access Areas] Login page when no access@digidocs: right, but after user logged in, we would need to go to the page the user originally intended to go to. So there is some coding involved there with a redirection.

In reply to: [My Calendar] Request for enhancement regarding email notificationsAlso, it would be nice to have an option to use the email of the event author as originator (mc_event_mail_from). Or maybe this could be achievable simply using mc_event_mail_from filter?
