 * I installed the beta and can confirm that after changing the settings back to
   site default the calendar now displays the correct month.

 * Hi Nick,
 * Oddly, i’d already tried toggling between site default (it’s original setting
   that had worked for about a year) and event source, without success. I hadn’t
   tried custom but find that it does indeed fix my problem. I now get the correct
   month, thanks for the suggestion.

 * I’m also getting exactly the same issue, WP 4.6.1 and Simple Calendar 3.1.6
