In reply to: [Network Posts Extended] Author page 404I installed the Redirection plugin and that takes care of the problem.
Thanks,
I have been running Leaflet Maps 3.12.1 and it created 410k records in my wp_options table. Had to delete it.. No I have 1500 records in wp_options.

In reply to: [Network Posts Extended] Some shortcodes arguments not workingInteresting. I copied/pasted the code you gave me and it partially fixed it (still no thumbnail), but then I retyped it all from the beginning and it is completely fixed.
Thanks
I am the type of guy that needs to understand. Exactly what is the cause of the problem?
Unfortunately, I have decided it is necessary to move to another security plug-in. The apparent inability of Wordfence to resolve this issue has forced me to uninstall it.
A key component of cyber-security is the ability to monitor and identify “bad actors” attempting to access a site. However, with this issue there are just too many legitimate hits in the logs. It makes identifying the undesirable hits too labor intensive.
There are actually a number of issues here, but the apparent philosophical issue is the worst. Wordfence does not seem to understand what is important to security monitoring. You give us the ability to view blocked attempts to access the site, but that is less important than the ability to view those that are unwanted, but not blocked. Where is the list of unknown actors that are not blocked. That was the idea behind the Live Traffic View options. The most important security monitoring piece of the product is NOT WORKING. Until you can show me a list of unknowns who are trying to access my site…free of log entries for all those that I do know…this product does not meet my need to monitor the activity on my sites.
Your truly,
Dissatisfied ex-user
3. Blocked IPs are showing up in the Live Traffic report. This is new behavior. They are flagged as blocked, but still show up. Does this mean they got in?
While we are on the subject, have your devs look at a couple other new issues.
1. When I log in and immediately go the dashboard, Wordfence creates from 3-10 records in Live Traffic. This only started happening a 2-4 weeks ago.
2. Recently, Wordfence has become very erratic about identoyfing a hit as being human. I never see a non-human hit logged as human, but I see MANY human hits (mine included) categorized as bots. This has been going on for quite some time.
I am absolutely using this feature. I review my live traffic just about every day and have my primary users and/or their ip addresses set to be ignored. The list I have to review gets a lot longer and more time consuming if I have to scroll past them to find the log entries I really want to view…the bad guys.
This issue has returned. Very annoying.
I guess this means that ensuring basic features of the product actually work is not a priority, and neither is responding to customer concerns.
