 * Well, the solution is f****d up, but in order to resolve the problem I renamed
my old blog directory, copied the library directory as the blog directory, and
put the old blog wp-contents folder in there. In short, I replaced the blog code
with the library code, and now my cookies work again. It’s strange; there must
be some subtle difference in a file somewhere. I may do a comparison later, but
right now I’m glad it works.

 * Q: _Why would you use a skinning method when WP already has a built-in one?_
 * A: Because, as I stated, I was using this method to skin my site well before
I switched to WP. It’s only been in the last release that I’ve had problems,
and again it’s only been with this single install. The other two work perfectly.
 * Then there’s the part where there are large portions of my site that are not
only not on WP, but couldn’t go on WP without some heavy work — which is unnecessary.
So’s the amount of work needed to merge my three installs into one install. I
am using WP just exactly as it was meant to be used — as blogging software. While
it may work as a CMS, that’s not, as far as I ever saw, its primary purpose.

 * No and no. More correctly, not at any point near the time when it broke. I ran
a general cleanup on my LJ about two weeks previously, posted several entries
between that time and the time it broke, and even though I get the array errors,
those don’t seem to affect the crossposting itself, just the options available.

And, oddly enough, I uploaded the class-IXR.php from LP 1.2, which I am certain
is the one I had before when it broke, and it fixed. So it’s like the file has
to be refreshed every so often or something bizarre like that — I never let WP’s
file overwrite that one unless I’m having issues with it.

 * See, the thing that makes me think it’s something with Livejournal is the simple
fact that my install, which I have not upgraded to your release or altered at
all in the last four months, started throwing those errors a week ago. After
working perfectly and errorlessly for four months.
I repeat, I did not change
any files at all in my WP install.

 * I’m possessed of a sneaking suspicion that the continual array errors that have
plagued this plugin for the very beginning are, in fact, a LIVEJOURNAL issue.
Meaning that somehow the data LivePress is getting back is not in the right format,
or that there isn’t any data at all. It seems to be extremely random; LivePress
will work superbly for months, and then just randomly, with no change at all
in the WP install or anything, start throwing the array errors. And nothing suffices
to get rid of them at all, except sometimes replacing the class-IXR.php file
in wp-includes, which doesn’t always work and nobody can agree on whose copy
of the file should be in there to make it work at all. I notice the 5th amendment
release has no class-IXR.php file in it, so I replaced my file with the WP 5.1.3.1
file, and there was no change.
 * This would be a perfect plugin if it weren’t for that one problem which no one
   can solve.
