In reply to: [WP Fastest Cache] plugin shows an outdated bersionYes I’m sure.
The folder wp-content/cache/all is empty.
However now I see there’s also a folder called wp-content/my-little-kitchen.com/all which seems to have cache in it.
Has the folder location changed?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Fastest Cache] plugin shows an outdated bersionA few days passed, and so far the folder cache/all has not been recreated…
Does this mean there’s no cache?
Maybe the problem is that the plugin doesn’t write anything to the cache folder?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Fastest Cache] plugin shows an outdated bersionAfter clearing the cache folder I can see the latest version.
I noticed that the last time the cached folder was updated was on 23/3/2020.
No further cache files after thatForum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Fastest Cache] plugin shows an outdated bersionNope. Nothing works. Same result on desktop and mobile.
Only if I’m logged in OR the plugin is disabled, then I see the changes.
It’s been like this for 2-3 weeks.- This reply was modified 4 years ago by mylittlekitchen.

In reply to: [WP Recipe Maker] “jump to recipe” translation problemNailed it!!
It seems that Polylang doesn’t add a hook/filter to home_url, and that’s why home_url always returns the basic url, without the language (as opposed to what WPML does). The solution was simple: I added a filter to home_url, and added the code that calls polylang to detect the language and return the correct home url.
Working as it should 🙂
Thank you for the help and the patience 🙂

In reply to: [WP Recipe Maker] “jump to recipe” translation problemI didn’t find the exact location of the problem.
However, I think there’s a simple solution, I just can’t get it to work:In the “print” link, instead of pointing to:
https://my-little-kitchen.com/wprm_print/4641
The link should be to:
https://my-little-kitchen.com/en/wprm_print/4641(these are links from an example post: https://my-little-kitchen.com/en/eggplants-slices-in-tomato-sauce-en )
And then the correct print template is shown.
I think the problem is (and correct me if I’m wrong), that the wprm_print link is created through javascript when the page is loaded and no language was set yet. Maybe that’s why there’s no “en” in the link.I appreciate any help with this, I’ve been trying different hooks and filters but just can’t get it to work 🙁
Another more complicated solution is to get the recipe id, check it’s language, and then choose the correct template.

In reply to: [WP Recipe Maker] “jump to recipe” translation problemMuch better!!!
Now I see this string and can translate it, and the recipe is shown correctly in the post!
However, the PRINT template is not translated properly … I translated the “Setting – default_print_template_modern” string as well, but the template that it being used for printing is still the original one.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Recipe Maker] “jump to recipe” translation problemThank you for the update.
I was really looking forward to this update!
However, I don’t see any “Setting – default_recipe_template_modern” string that I can translate in Polylang’s string table.
I see the same strings I saw in previous versions, but this one is not found.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Recipe Maker] “jump to recipe” translation problemMay I suggest a fix?
It seems that it the “print recipe” was pointing to the correct link (including the “en” folder) it would all work out great.Take a look at this:
https://my-little-kitchen.com/wprm_print/4641
as opposed to this:
https://my-little-kitchen.com/en/wprm_print/4641The second one is the correct link, since the recipe url is also under the “en” folder:
https://my-little-kitchen.com/en/eggplants-slices-in-tomato-sauce-en/I saw the following function in class-wprm-recipe:
public function print_url() {
return home_url( ‘/wprm_print/’ . $this->id() );
}and it seems like if instead of using plain home_url we could get the current folder (i.e. https://mysite.com/en) it would all be good.
Any chance this could be fixed? I think it might be useful for anyone who has subdirectories in the wordpress blog.

In reply to: [WP Recipe Maker] “jump to recipe” translation problemI went back to Legacy mode, and also found a way to translate the “jump to recipe” text (which was the original problem of this thread….).
I found the following string in the Polylang translation table and translated it:[wprm-recipe-jump text=”Jump to recipe”] [wprm-recipe-print text=”Print recipe”]
Now it looks ok in the post itself, HOWEVER …. when I click the “print recipe” button, the recipe looks like a mixture of English and Hebrew with the wrong formatting (right instead of left etc.).
You can take a look at this recipe to see the problem:
https://my-little-kitchen.com/en/eggplants-slices-in-tomato-sauce-en/
And the “print” page:
https://my-little-kitchen.com/wprm_print/4641Any more ideas?

In reply to: [WP Recipe Maker] “jump to recipe” translation problemTried it now, created a custom template in the theme folder.
It’s now recognized by the Theme Editor but cannot be edited (the “Edit template” button is grayed out).
I still don’t understand how this will help with the multilingual problem? The template doesn’t have php in it, so how can I set different strings for different languages?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Recipe Maker] “jump to recipe” translation problemI did create my own template, I have one for English and one for Hebrew.
But I can only set one default template, and don’t know how to change the template for specific posts (for example all English posts).Right now my default template is set to Hebrew and those posts look great, but how do I change the template for the English posts??
