 * It seems like this should be automatic. It really makes the entire process more
   confusing.

 * Thank you for the info. Will this new code remain the same even when a Dokan
   update is installed?
 * I’ve updated the file with the new code you gave me and there’s one small problem.
After you click “Create Product”, the product is still created as a simple product.
In order to get it to change to a variable product, the vendor must click the“
Save Product” button on the edit product page. Once they do that, it will then
switch to a variable product. This is not a major problem to be honest, but it
would be nice if the product was created immediately as a variable product after
they click “Create Product” on the first edit product page.

 * Actually yeah I would like to have only variable product types. Is there a way
I can change some code to only variable product types?

 * So you’re saying whenever there is a Dokan update, the file will be changed back
   to default?

 * I have. Currently waiting on a response so I just thought I’d try this forum
   while I wait.

 * Well I’m using a plugin called Dokan and it lets vendors sign up for my website
and basically turns my website into a marketplace like eBay. Woocommerce is how
the products are added and whenever a product is added through the vendor dashboard
it automatically makes it a simple product but I need it to be variable.

 * Well right now the default product type is Simple. I need to change this to “
   Variable”

 * I enabled Debug Mode in the plugin. What should I do now? Do I need to click
the “Get Errors” button? Or should the filters now be working? Because I still
   don’t see any filters.

 * The sidebar works when I test other widgets like the default product filters
for woocommerce, but I want to use this app since it gives you the ability to
put the filter button above the products and not on the side.

 * Thanks for the reply,
 * I followed your exact setup instructions as well as the setup wizard and still
no filters show up on my shop page. I’ve tested different widgets as well and
still nothing. Does this plugin not work with my theme? It’s a woocommerce theme
so I would assume it should work.
