  • Hi Andrew,
Those instructions cover what the name points to, not the contents of your site. To put the files into the new domain name, you have to go into the cpanel for your site then move them into your site.
In WordPress there are several plugins to help you do that – can you login to your dashboard? To get into your dashboard, if you know your login details, in the top toolbar type in your site name followed by wp-login (so ) . If you can do that, go to the plugin section, click add new & put migrate into the search bar. I use Duplicator, but there are several available. The help documentation in duplicator is extensive, and I’m sure the others will be too – and youtube is definitely your friend when you want help with using any of those plugins. Watch a couple of tutorials first then decide which one suits you best.
If you need help to access your cpanel, I would contact godaddy again and be very detailed about your issues. I don’t know what their support service is like but I hope you get this resolved soon.
    Best of luck!
