 * I’ll be damned, I posted this same question a year ago when I had the same issue
and forgot all about it – [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/post-images-dont-show-up-in-internet-explorer?replies=7](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/post-images-dont-show-up-in-internet-explorer?replies=7).
For some reason IE8 has compatibility mode turned off by default and I need to
put code in the head to force it to start compatibility mode when someone visits
the site. Thanks for the time, yogi… much appreciated.

 * Try inserting the image link manually in html mode rather than using the editor…
or did you try that already as well?

 * Some start with a 1… but I doubt that would be an issue.

 * Yes, it’s the OverAll theme by Codestar (purchased through ThemeForest)… and
I have some wonderful news today… their support site is down!
 * I would love to change over to the default theme and try your suggestion, but
this theme uses gallery pages and I’m afraid if I do that they won’t work right
when I revert back. It took me days to upload all of these images!
 * Can someone spot an issue looking at the source code on one of the gallery pages…
   ie [http://sandingovations.com/team-building/](http://sandingovations.com/team-building/)…
so I don’t mess the whole thing up?

 * I added a jpg to the post and it doesn’t show either. All of my gif’s elsewhere
on the site are working fine… just the ones in the posts.

 * My host figured it out for me… had something to do with my htaccess files. Wish
I could explain further but not sure exactly what they did.

 * Also, the page doesn’t even show up when I go to the url of the blog. It says“
The page isn’t redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is
redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.”

 * Ok, I found the file I can delete them from directly… sidebar.php which is in
the appearance>editor control panel. I saved a backup of the original file and
deleted the widgets I don’t want and it’s working.

 * I want to remove them from the sidebar, not put them in the sidebar.

 * The problem is that there aren’t any there to drag out… the sidebar box is completely
empty but archives, calendar, tags, blogroll, etc are all showing up on the blog.
Not sure how to remove them if I can’t drag them out in the widgets control panel.
