In reply to: [Author Avatars List/Block] Add Buddypress FieldFinally got it figured out…
$profession = “”;
if ( $this->show_profession ) {
$profession = xprofile_get_field_data( ‘I Am A’, $user->user_id );

In reply to: [Author Avatars List/Block] Add Buddypress FieldGetting further along now. I used the following…
$profession = “”;
if ( $this->show_profession ) {
$profession = xprofile_get_field_data( ‘I Am A’, bp_loggedin_user_id() );
}…and it returned my profile information. Now I just have to get it to show for that specific users profile.

In reply to: [Author Avatars List/Block] Add Buddypress FieldOk. So I see what you’re saying about the TinyMCE. I found that. My shortcode is…
[authoravatars user_link=bp_memberpage display=show_name,show_profession order=display_name,asc]
So the option for show_profession is showing properly and when I don’t include that option, the text “Profession” doesn’t show on the homepage.
So…that tells me that i have everything linked to the right place and it’s about getting
$profession = “”;
if ( $this->show_profession ) {
$profession = ‘Profession’;
}to show the actual information like
$profession = “”;
if ( $this->show_profession ) {
$profession = bp_member_profile_data( ‘field=I Am A’ );
}Any idea what I’m missing there?

In reply to: [Author Avatars List/Block] Add Buddypress FieldSO I just put in this shortcode…
[authoravatars show_name=true user_link=bp_memberpage show_profession=true display_extra=I Am A]
The custom field that I want to show is “I AM A” the field id is 2 (just incase that helps any)
So once I add in display_extra=I Am A in my shortcode, I need to then add in some coding like what’s on https://authoravatars.wordpress.com/2014/11/05/support-for-buddypress-xprofiles/ in order for it show show up?
BTW…I will be donating once we get this working because I really appreciate your quick responses!

In reply to: [Author Avatars List/Block] Add Buddypress FieldSo I can control this within the shortcode? Do I just add display_extra=field name?
