 * [@auaras](https://wordpress.org/support/users/auaras/) , sorry but it has nothing
   to do with query strings. The files are now indeed entirely deleted from /wp-
   content/uploads/elementor/css thats why WP-Optimize has the same problem right
   now as WP Fastest Cache and other such cache plugins. Btw, you can physically
   inspect /wp-content/uploads/elementor/css through SFTP and see that the files
   are indeed gone.

 * **This is extremely frustrating and I am lost for words………..** I simply dont
   understand where the problem ist to tell us which value we have to change to
   stop this 24 hour madness.

 * Thanks [@quoup](https://wordpress.org/support/users/quoup/)
 * Unfortunately, that’s not an option for us, as it would mean rebuilding the cache
   every 24 hours for 100k–200k pages on our large-scale, high-traffic website.
 * If you check the GitHub ticket, I’ve shared an MU-plugin that prevents Elementor
   from deleting the CSS files when nothing on the website has changed. Please test
   it before using – for me, for now, its working well.
 * Inline CSS, as Nicholas suggested on facebook, is also not an option. I tested
   it, and it would add 6,000–10,000 lines to the source code.
 * It’s insane that they still don’t consider this a bug. It’s honestly frightening
   to continue working with Elementor knowing they don’t take this issue seriously.
   What happens with future updates then?…

 * It’s really frustrating when posts on the official Elementor Facebook forum keep
   getting deleted — especially when all I’m trying to do is explain this exact
   problem. That’s not a very customer-friendly approach, dear Elementor team.
 * The fact is, something changed in the version Elementor released on September
   15, 2025, which is causing this exact issue for users of WP Rocket, WP Fastest
   Cache, WP-Optimize, and similar caching solutions.
 * As I mentioned before, rolling back the update to September 14, 2025 fixed the
   problem — it’s completely gone on my test site. But on every other site running
   a version from September 15, 2025 onwards, the issue persists and the sites are
   broken.

 * I dont know yet, I truly hope so. The ticket is created, we will have to wait.

   If you scroll down on the ticket ([https://github.com/elementor/elementor/issues/33057](https://github.com/elementor/elementor/issues/33057)),
   there is a mu-plugin code made by me you can also try. Check on a daily basis
   if Elementor keeps creating new files in /wp-content/uploads/elementor/css to
   see if it works. For now, its working for me. Just delete the cache after adding
   the mu-plugin and let Elementor regenerate the CSS – afterwards, just control
   the date on the CSS files, if they arent changed.

 * Yes, [@paourissi](https://wordpress.org/support/users/paourissi/) – it’s the
   same. Elementor is deleting /wp-content/uploads/elementor/CSS files on a daily
   basis. That’s why your caching plugin (HTML files and minified files) can’t find
   them.

 * [@philapho](https://wordpress.org/support/users/philapho/) let’s be clear: this
   has nothing to do with incompatibility with other plugins or any new feature.
   This is **definitely a bug**. There is absolutely no reason to delete all CSS
   files on a scheduled basis — and the user can’t disable it, even if the Element
   Cache is turned off — when nothing on the site has changed (no edits, no plugin
   or core updates, etc.).
 * This is simply insane and it’s breaking all caching plugins that thousands of
   users have been relying on for years. I see countless posts online from people
   confused about why this is happening, and I honestly don’t understand why no
   one has dug deeper into it yet.

 * [@adalov](https://wordpress.org/support/users/adalov/) I can’t post on GitHub
   unless they allow it through their official support channel. I opened a ticket
   two days ago and I’m hoping it gets approved — only then am I allowed to post
   on GitHub with a reference to the ticket I created.

 * [@naou](https://wordpress.org/support/users/naou/) same for us. We dont update
   automatically anything without doing our QA on a stage website to check if the
   update breaks something. All auto updates are disabled by default.
 * I am also working on a mu-plugin to stop the regular automatic purge from Elementor
   that works this way:
 * If someone edits any page, templates etc., or makes updates of core / plugins,
   or even if someone clicks the button “Clear Files & Data” then yes; allow it -
   > go ahead and let Elementor purge automatically – but just dont do it on a regular
   basis every 12+ hours when no one made edits / updates / etc.
 * I am testing it on a website and for now, it seems to work fine.
