  • Hi – I am not sure what you mean by the exact conditions for my groups. I do not know what info you are requesting.

    Yes – the plugin works for all the pages I had restricted before. It is only this new page I added that is not being restricted.

    I tried that last evening. Those buttons still would not function.

    Hi Matthew. I have left a message about the problem on the BBPress forums I have not received a response from BBpress. I was hoping someone here might have run across this before & possibly provide insight to a remedy.

    I got a few responses suggesting it may be wordpress itself blocking the functioning of these buttons in BBPress. I have user capabilities set as authors so I don’t think so, but I figured it never hurts to ask.

    Hi Eli – I do not know how to check for Javascript with the string. That is beyond my knowledge base at this time.

    I don’t know what a spoon-plugin is. None of my plugins have that type of name either.

    I did check my pc – it is ok.

    I am worried that while this may be a placeholder – how is it getting inserted & can it be a delayed thing where it will end up sending my users to a malicious site, adding malicious content to their computer or trying to get their info (I have a paying site).

    Thanks for your input.

    Hi Eli. Is there a way to check to see if the plugin Divi Booster is using the wtfdivi073_add_social_icons ? It is the only plugin I have where I added the instagram icon because I could not figure out how to add it in Divi itself.

    The Anti-Spam by Clean Talk is a plugin I I used – found a recommendation for it on BBpress by BBpress (in a list of plugins they put up). But ever since I added it & another (the other I have removed) I have had additional code inserted into my site (see other request for assistance). I did upload them from the WP plugin area itself not from outside WP.

    Hi Jake – great plugin. Is there any way to make it show the avatar of users instead of the username?

    My theme is Divi.

    1. I am using Users Ultra Pro to manage my members & that setting is using email addresses as user names so when I put the shortcode in my sidebar it displays the emails as “Members Currently Active” & “Members active within the past 24 hours” & “Welcome to our newest member,”. If possible, I would like for it to show the users avatar (small) with the display name chosen by users. (Again, this is chosen in UUPro).

    BBPress is picking up the avatar & display name from UUPro. They show up correctly in the forums & widgets.

    Not sure if this can be done with this plugin or if it would be too much alteration. If it can, please let know.

    This is the url to my forums at this time:
    http://dtcdancecentral.com/DTCTest/forums/

    I have a UUPro shortcode above this shortcode – it helps visualize better what I am asking.

    2. Is there a way to make (or maybe give an option) to have these links direct to the UUPro profile not the BBpress profile?

    3. Is there a way to remove the comma after “Welcome to our newest member, ” heading?

    Thanks!

    Update – I removed plugin and completely reinstalled with a fresh download of plugin. I connected to Instagram gave permission via the plugin widget – however, in the widget the bar to connect to Instagram to give permission never disappeared and no options to configure the widget settings ever showed up. It was if I had never given permission for Instagram to approve. I go to Instagram and see permission had been given.

    Bump – Still in need of assistance please. I am wanting to make the title of a location a link to that locations website in the add location page. I have the attribute #_ATT{EVENTLINK} assigned to locations under Events – General Options – Location Attributes.

    The I have the following code in the Events – Settings – Formatting – Locations – Single location page format:

    Venue
    #_LOCATIONNAME</br>
    #_ADDRESS
    #_LOCATIONTOWN, #_LOCATIONSTATE, #_LOCATIONREGION #_LOCATIONPOSTCODE</br>
    #_LOCATIONCOUNTRY
    </p>

    The location title is coming up as a link and it does open in a new tab – but it does not open to the url I have put in the add location page in the text box for #_ATT{EVENTLINK}. It just opens the location page again.

    Thank you.

    Yes – I am able to access everything else on the site – everything else appears to be working fine.

    I tried on firefox & got:

    File not found

    Firefox can’t find the file at http://dtcdancecentral.com/DTCTest/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?_wpnonce=cf491f3626&timestamp=1444657759&type=uploads&stage=2&findex=0&action=updraft_download_backup.

    Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.
    Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.

    I was able to get to them and get them saved to my computer from Safari.

    Ok – Categories will not work as I have users allowed to search for specific events by category already – so I can’t add all these producers to the category listings (over 300 producers).

    So with some assistance maybe by tags.

    Right now I have gotten as far as using the following in my formatting of a single events page:

    [events_list tag=”Vidox”]

    yes I will have to put in over 300 of these with each producer and go back and add the specific tag to every event (over 4000) – but I have not been able to come up with anything else.

    BUT it does bring up the format of the events lists which I do not want and it shows very oddly – wording running into the logo et etc.

    I would like to place this list under the map on the single events page & All I want to show in this list is:
    1. the event name (which is the producer) which would be a link to that individual event page
    2. the event date
    3. the event location city & state only (not venue or anything else)

    just like the event widget shows upcoming events.

    Upcoming Events

    Vidox
    10/05/2015 – 10/10/2015
    Pretoria

    Vidox
    10/09/2015 – 10/11/2015
    Denver

    all inline directly under each other – no blocks surrounding the indiv events. I realized I can not use a widget for this as I can’t put it into each indiv event listing page.

    I tried placing #_TAGNEXTEVENTS in the single events page formatting, but no matter how I tried to add the tag “Vidox” it produced nothing – just showed it as wording on the indiv event page.

    Any assistance in figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Ah – missed that – thank you.

    bueller? bueller? 🙂

    Angelo would you let me know which file houses the text for #2? I am learning code slowly and I need to see how it is written so I can see how to make the change and add it my mu-folder.

    That I am not sure about & I have not been able to get a response from UU. I was hoping you might have worked with another person who has used them in conjunction (like you have with Divi/Elegant Themes).

    For now I maneuvered a work around – sort of. In UU there are settings that if someone is not logged in it will show the 404 page (vs the “You must be a “Certain Membership Type” to access this page”). So – I have changed my 404 page to basically state you must be a member – please choose which membership you need to access this page (nicer than that, but I am sure you get the gist). And the only ones who can not get there now are those not registered. I had to change and let non-paying members access that part of my site as I am basically out of time and need to have this live Wednesday.

    If you think of anything that might assist – please let me know. Thanks for your help.

    I am using the latest version of Divi by Elegant Themes. I believe it supports custom post types. I have events set to display as pages.

    I found instructions here & at ET prior to add a bit of code so EM would work with Divi. These bits have been added already:

    1.
    function fix_em_divi_problem(){
    if( is_admin() ){
    remove_action(‘parse_query’, array(‘EM_Event_Post’,’parse_query’));
    remove_action(‘restrict_manage_posts’, array(‘EM_Event_Posts_Admin’,’restrict_manage_posts’));
    }
    }
    add_action(‘admin_init’, ‘fix_em_divi_problem’);

    2. – made page full width
    1. Made a copy of page.php
    2. Renamed it to single-event.php and placed it in divi-child theme folder
    3. Deleted the line: <?php get_sidebar(); ?>
    4. Added to the options of events-manager –> event-pages settings area –> in the Body Classes text box:

    et_full_width_page

    and saved settings.
