 * [@tomontoast](https://wordpress.org/support/users/tomontoast/) — looks like you
   did a little digging! Actually it is for [http://www.napaliresearch.com](http://www.napaliresearch.com).
   What’s there now is the non-blogging part. I’d like to add material of my own
   in a blogging format so users can search, see new content organized, etc. Is
   there a plugin for uploading files into WP without going through the text entry
   area? I.e. direct access into the DB?

   for a fuller description of the issues. Any hints would be greatly appreciated!!

 * [@tomontoast](https://wordpress.org/support/users/tomontoast/): in the non-blog
   site you gave as an example, are the pages in the DB (I assume so)? Asking b/
   c I have an issue I’ve been trying to figure out where I’d like to use WP to
   show pages where the content comes directly from HTML files. Actually it’s a
   bit more complex: I’d like to show essentially an index.html which has links
   to another set of HTML files, all within the WP framework, including user access
   control. Is that possible?

 * Are you sure it was hacked? From looking at the page that’s there, it appears
   that the very first character in the file, the ‘<‘, is missing. Everything else
   looks normal. Is it possible that somebody in charge of the site made an editing
   error? Of course I have no idea if that is how the site looked before.
