I discovered that I needed to go into the “Settings>Permalinks>Permalink Settings” where it had been set for a “custom structure” with no designation for that structure. Whew! When I edit posts I can see that “slugs” have been generated. So where is the page that the slug is pointing to? The headlines of the posts on the front page only link back to the front page. So how do I end up with pages for my posts, each post? I still have problems though. Expound seems to generate a “Front” page automatically which doesn’t show up on the dashboard under”Pages” and this is where my posts display as summaries only. These summaries then link right back to the same “Front” page. Now all the problems I listed above are gone. I like the look better. I’ve posted over in the specific forum for that theme. I’ve been using the free theme called Expound. I just switched to Twenty Fourteen and things are working better. But now that shows a summary of the post and a button that says “continue reading” which is really just a link right back to the homepage. So where can I read the rest of the post?
