I’ve run a database repair in cPanel to no avail. I can’t do anything because I can’t access the site except through my host’s control panel. * My knowledge of server side scripting is near zero, so the control panel isn’t much use. * I have a backup of the database for the blog. The problem is not with logging on – I can’t even visit the site. Here’s the message: * Error establishing a database connection This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down. * Are you sure you have the correct username and password? Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname? Are you sure that the database server is running? If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. I’m sure you’re right, the whole thing is trashed. One question. Which php file or files would contain the text from my posts?
