 * I can confirm that there is an issue with gutenberg. After installing the “disable
   gutenberg” plugin, motopress is working again.

   the problem was that the proper email options were not activated, thanks a lot.
 * I think that setting needs further explanation. I had the Welcome email activated
   but because my registration required email validation, the user would receive
   no email because that email option (email activation to member) was disabled 
   by default. I think a notice message should appear when you activate the validation
   option in the settings.
 * I think this should solve [@boyann](https://wordpress.org/support/users/boyann/)
   problem too.
