I found it . Thanks. First hint from doodlebee exposed my stupid… I did indeed load theme/ theme folders. I reloaded the files into folder theme/ and it works fine.. Good to know about the permissions. * Always looking for good 3 column themes.. and mature plug- ins that are already plugged into the templates. Good for editors like me who do not know design and read the manual for smallest of problems. I download to desktop, unzip and then FTP. For one theme I did themenm/themenm.
