 * Hi Moxie, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, for me, the solution doesn’t 
   work. I managed to get around it by adding one more backslash in front of the
   existing one (i.e. \\), and it worked – only ONE of the double backslash is stripped.
   Which means that if I edit and re-publish the post, I’ve got to remember to add
   the blackslashes back.
