 * I can’t believe I’m posting this but I went to permalinks settings and re-set
   to the Post name option and it corrected the problem for me immediately. I can
   now upload images – no problems, no errors. After hours of searching – go figure!
   It would help if someone from nextGen would acknowledge this problem and provide
   this quick fix!
