 * That was the issue. While Elementor Pro integration was activated, the Elementor
   integration was disabled. Thanks for the quick help.

 * okay, i found the answer..
 * when you first install this plugin and encounter the same issues do the following:
 * uncheck und check the following entrys in the settings:
    Translate Categories
   Enable categories translations. Translate Tags Enable tags translations. Translate
   Attributes Enable attributes translations.
 * after that is done you have to go into each of your products and save each exisiting
   product itself.
    Now the product can be found in the categorys. I guess, that
   after the plugin sets up the possibility to translate categorys, all products
   getting unlinked. With saving the product will again be linked to category.
