 * I tried out numerous “thumbnail” plug-ins, none of which worked with version 
   2.5. If you look at the posted dates, most or all precede the release of 2.5 
   so all probably need revision to work with the new WP version. The one I finally
   settled on is iBox. Needed to do a lot of work to get the html to work properly
   with 2.5, but it does do a nice job once done (the basic .js module works OK).
   It does not, however, do any of its own “crunching”. You need to create your 
   own thumbnail. That’s a pain, but the result is a very professional experience
   for site visitors.
