    Hi Alexandra,

I think there’s no need to apologize.

Making footnotes available in custom post types is one of the next big features after fixing current bugs.

Research regarding this topic is underway.

    Stay tuned.

    Hi Anna,

thanks for your patience and sorry for taking so long to reply.

I’ve tested your case with bbPress and I’m sorry to report, that currently bbPress is not supported, as is the case with all custom post types.

Good news is: We’re working on a fix to support custom post types. bbPress uses custom post types and should therefore also work, as soon as the fix is published.

Would you be willing to beta-test-drive a new development version, as soon as it’s available?

    Hi thelaw,

cheers for all the input you’ve given us. It’s sure a hell of a lot to digest in the first place, but we’ll try our best to address each and every issue you’ve brought to our attention.

Let me explain only one for the moment. I’ll have to discuss the rest with my fellow code-warrior Stefan.

The Table format was chosen since users reported abnormal behavior regarding the representation of footnotes in the reference list at the end of a post. Tables have the advantage of calculating column widths in respect to the whole table. I couldn’t find an easy and high-fidelity approach using css. If you have a solution, we’d very much like to hear about it!

    Hi Alan,

Try our setting at the bottom for “Allow footnotes on Summarized Posts” Set it to No. And please check out, if that does the trick.

    Hi Trinity7,

thanks for bringing this limitation to our attention and for taking the time to test this limitation and writing about it on the forums.

We have to think about this one and how to solve it. You hit a very strong point however with the background info and I’m sure your idea is very valid.
So there has to be a graphical representation of this is well. 500 Words is a lot to digest for a reader, so the popup should definitely feature a close button as well…

Would you be willing to test a beta of this, as soon as we publish a specific version for you?

    Stay tuned.

    Hi Christoph,

thanks for using our Plugin and thanks for bringing a nice feature request to our attention!

It can take a few weeks, before this feature finds its way into a release version, since some bugs need fixing first.

    Stay tuned.

    Hi kay9,

only this weekend we discussed, where the jumps should go to.
I’m all for letting them jump to the center of the page and highlight the area to which the jump occured…
    Sounds good?

    Hi midihead,

thanks for getting back to us.
If you didn’t do that already, now would be a great time to leave a rating for our plugin 🙂

    Cheers

    Hi cgerace,

thanks for reaching out here in the forums.
To be honest, I’m not sure if your issue is plugin related or not.
I can only point you to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HnhaeBfExY
Which explains beautifully in a video, what I told above in “greek”.

    Hi Anna,

    thanks for asking.

Unfortunately we have not tested our plugin together with bbPress. So either you wait till after my vacation on 16.09.2014 to let me test it, or you test it yourself.

No bad plugin interactions have been reported so far. I don’t know, why bbPress should be a rare exception 🙂

Have fun. I’ll get back to you.

    Hi Mr. Di Rogers,

thanks for letting us know of your issue with our plugin.
We’ll test your situation and see, if we can come up with a solution.

We haven’t heard of such serious breaks before. Alas (in this case) there’s always a first time for everything.

    Stay tuned.

Cheers for this heart-warming review of yours.

And of course: Kudos for your awesome feature requests. As decent developers and those hanging around developers a lot, we know that even the greatest software has room for improvement. I for one love it, when users of our software have ideas and speak their minds. We’re humble enough to know, that software can contain bugs or can be improved. An attitude worth spreading…

    Stay tuned.

    Hi Daimoch,

thanks for bringing your issue to our attention using the support forum.

I like the fact that you’re using footnotes extensively. What’s also nice is that your articles are paginated.

While I think the approach of the previous posters is still valid, would you please also paste the output of the new diagnostics tab here. This tab was introduced to the settings page of footnotes with version 1.4.0 to help diagnose issues, people run into.

    Have a good one.
