So to make sure it’s all clean, can you try the following: – delete the footnotes plugin folder manually from your webserver. The footnotes are saved in your posts and have nothing to do with the footnotes plugin being installed or not. You can safely remove footnotes from your /wp- plugins folder and upload the content of the downloaded .zip file. We’re in the middle of major changes in how we’re running the project. Huge amounts of work have been done behind the scenes to adhere to WordPress coding standards and reduce the amount of JavaScript used to name a few.
