Hi there,
I see, I obviously didn’t fix this very well π
I’ll make sure it works as expected.I took a look at removing the limit of the “not a choice” layer, but doing so could potentially break existing configurations. So I will look for a different solution (probably adding a new layer type which does the same thing).
the summary block still picks up these layers even if they are marked as hidden
This shouldn’t be the case anymore in the last version of the plugin.
Hi there,
Is there a way to remove this limit as it seems arbritary?
I’ll look at what’s possible, as it might not be that simple.
Though depending on your needs, you can try to use a normal layer (whether simple or multiple choice) and make it act a bit like the “no choice” layer, by enabling the settings “Hide this layer in the cart / checkout / order” and “Hide this layer in the menu”. This also allows using the Sync ID feature, if those elements need to follow the exact changes of an other layer.

Hi there,
It is technically possible, though at the moment, depending on how many configurable products will be shown on an archive page, it could make it a bit heavy and impact performance, because of the data for each product would be loaded on the archive.
The idea is to use the shortcode [mkl_configurator_button] in the loop. Something like that:
<?php add_actino( 'woocommerce_after_shop_loop_item', function() { global $product; if ( ! function_exists( 'mkl_pc_is_configurable' ) ) return; if ( mkl_pc_is_configurable( $product->get_id() ) ) { echo do_shortcode( '[mkl_configurator_button product_id="' . $product->get_id() . '"]"' ); } }, 11 ); add_filter( 'load_configurator_on_page', '__return_true' );

In reply to: [Product Configurator for WooCommerce] Shipping classes vary based on choicesHi there,
I took a look at what’s possible, and I’m sure it is doable, though it’s not a simple task.
See the following code:
add_action( 'woocommerce_before_calculate_totals', function( $cart_obj ) { $cart_contents = $cart_obj->get_cart(); foreach ( $cart_contents as $key => $cart_item ) { // Check the cart item selection if ( mkl_pc_is_configurable( $cart_item['product_id'] ) && isset( $cart_item['configurator_data'] ) && is_array( $cart_item['configurator_data'] ) ) { // Check the configurator's choices foreach( $cart_item['configurator_data'] as $selected_choice ) { if ( 'Something special' === $selected_choice->get_choice( 'name' ) ) { // Change the shipping class ID $cart_item['data']->set_shipping_class_id( 67 ); } } } } }, 10, 1);
This should change the shipping class of the product depending on a selected choice. This seems to work, though it might not be a full solution.
Otherwise if you are using the linked product / stock management add-on, you may be able to link a choice to a different product which has a specific class.

Hi there,
sorry for the delay in responding, I thought I replied but obviously my answer wasn’t sent.Here’s some CSS to fix those few things:
/* Hide the thumbnail only in the mini-cart */ .widget_shopping_cart .cart_list li span.choice-thumb { display: none; } /* remove extra spacing */ .widget_shopping_cart dd.variation-Configuration { margin: 0; } /* Change proportions on mobile */ @media(max-width: 660px) { .mkl_pc .mkl_pc_container .mkl_pc_viewer { bottom: 50%; } .mkl_pc .mkl_pc_container .mkl_pc_toolbar { top: 50%; } }
and is it possible that the configurator auto opens when a customer clicks on a product?
You can do so by adding
open_configurator=1
to the url. E.g. https://www.modwatch.eu/product/nautilus-custom-craft/?open_configurator=1Marc

In reply to: [Product Configurator for WooCommerce] Advanced Description Translation goneHi there!
Since the last update the option to put a translated advanced description is somehow gone?
Actually, the advanced description has never been translatable. I’ll look into what it takes to make it so.

In reply to: [Product Configurator for WooCommerce] Custom positioning of layersHi there,
It is possible to change the images layout using CSS, however whether it is a good thing depends on the product and the number of layers. So I would need to understand the product before I answer with certainty.

In reply to: [Product Configurator for WooCommerce] Hide options from summary layerHi there,
This isnβt currently not supported, but I will add this to the next release.Β
In the mean time, you could add a CSS class to the layer, and hide it using CSS in the summary, as those classes should be added to the summary. ΒMarc
