If you lost the FTP credentials, there has to be a way to get in through the hosting control panel. You can temporarily deactivate it manually by either using your hosting control panel file manager or ftp to temporarily rename the plugin folder into another name. After that, try logging on to your dashboard. The process pretty much reverses the steps that you went through to enable the feature like undoing the changes you made to wp-config.php and to .htaccess. Although it is only one installation of WordPress, each of the sites within the network will have separate administration pages with separate logins. Ever since multisite was integrated into the WordPress Core as of WordPress 3.0, it is the most efficient way to serve multiple sites within one installation. * I’d highly recommend perusing the documentation; most, if not all of your questions are covered by each of the topics. There seem to be a number of plugins that offer that capability along with some kind of invoicing features.
