 * Yeah, because I have made another post today and it was successfully published
   on my timeline, which leads me to think that it may have something to do with
   the script’s response time on the server, sometimes it will complete the operation
   within the timeout period, and other times it won’t!

 * I have the exact same problem on my blog, I managed to make it post the link 
   to the blog post a couple of times but normally it simply prints out that error
   message.
 * Out of curiosity, which hosting provider are you using? I’m with 000webhost, 
   and I’ve noted that they have a noticeable lag when accessing PHP functions (
   for instance, I couldn’t update my WordPress installation using the automated
   installer – I had to do it manually because the automated installer would just
   give up and not proceed!).
