In reply to: [Roost Web Push] Footer text inside WordPress editorThanks, this is not in 2.1.8, is it?
I’d expect it not to be this widget issue indeed but who knows:

In reply to: [Roost Web Push] W3 validation errorThanks! I’ll wait for the footer issue to enable the plugin again. As Google seems to have issues with my site I’m now combing through all the possible causes:

In reply to: [Roost Web Push] Footer text inside WordPress editorI just disabled Roost as it outputs the following (admin panel & normal):
<noscript>Questions or feedback? Need help? powered by Roost – Push notifications for websites</noscript>
As Google seems to have an issue with my site (rankings dropped significantly) I try everything I can relate to this. This might look like site wide footer and hidden text. My site currently has ~365 and was linking out to Roost 1.800 times I was told.
I’ll read notifications on this post via email.

In reply to: [Hammy] How do I know if Hammy is working?I ran into this as well. Prizm Image is a great plugin to resize and pass PageSpeed tests.
It would be great if Hammy would map to WordPress image sizes like Simple Responsive Images seems to do.
Adding custom image sizes in WordPress is easy and Prizm takes these into account. You can even create the new image size only using AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t get Simple Responsive Images to work at all.
I stumbled on to Hammy because of Google PageSpeed. It solved the issue of serving smaller images to mobile. But re-introduces the optimized image problem. Would be great if Hammy would work together nicely with Prizm!

In reply to: [Ultimate Nofollow] Not Keeping No FollowI have the same issue. In text view rel=”nofollow” is still present but the pop-up box doesn’t take the current setting into account. Would love to see a fix for this!

In reply to: [Storify] Regular links to stories behave strangeThanks for your reply. I’m too busy with other stuff to put more time into this plugin. As you’re unable to reproduce and I’m only using it for one post, I’ll just setup that post differently and remove the plugin.

https://storify.com/socialandmore/smc036-11-social-media-voor-je-carriere”>20 tipsEverything you store in WordPress is saved in a database. So posts, pages, categories, tags, … A database consists of tables. Just like an Excel worksheet. WordPress has a table for posts for instance. In this table, each post is a record.
You should know about this database and create a backup of it so you can restore in case of problems.
I searched for redirection found this post about a log you should purge manually. That might be the issue I heard or regarding performance:
http://mydesultoryblog.com/2011/11/wordpress-and-my-slow-mysql-database-issue-is-solved/
As I heard the redirection plugin adds records to the WordPress database on each hit.
I haven’t experiences it myself of course but heard/read somewhere (long time ago) every 404 hit creates a new database record causing at least the database to grow very fast and maybe even slow down WordPress.
It does, thanks!
Regarding the redirection plugin I heard it grows your database quickly because of all the 404’s that are generated by sites/bots. Any experience with that?
Thanks, I might rethink this setup indeed 🙂 SimpleURLs integrates nicely in WordPress, counts clicks in WordPress and Google Analytics. Migrating by creating a .htaccess shouldn’t be too hard. But your 3rd domain URLs are still indexed?
I have the exact same setup and submit URL’s to remove to Google weekly manually:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals?pli=1It would same me some time if we could prevent indexing 🙂
Has anybody determined whether this keeps the links out? As Neo7 suggests it’s not possible to keep links out.
Adding rel=”noindex” to existing links would then be a hell of a job but could probably be done with a regex. From then on it would be great if Simple URLs would offer those URLs via the interface.

In reply to: [Standard Widget Extensions] Doesn't work on iOS/Safari?Hmm I’m not sure whether there was some kind of a delay, a caching problem or whether I posted this comment at the wrong plugin 🙂
Anyway, I installed yours and it seems to work fine on iOS Safari.
Thanks for the reply and your work on this plugin!

In reply to: [Fixed Widget and Sticky Elements for WordPress] Exclude from HOME PAGE!I use WooThemes Canvas with a slider on the homepage. Q2W3 somehow doesn’t play nice together with it so my slider was gone.
I tried to exclude Q2W3 from my homepage as a workaround using this code in a child theme functions.php but it didn’t work.
Any idea?
