That was the first place I checked! 😉 * Looks like I’m just going to have to get access to the database or to recreate the page from scratch. This was something that I was assuming but didn’t know which is helpful, but also points to the probability that the page is just gone forever. * I have checked the users and the role of my login is actually ‘Administrator’. I suppose this means that I do have admin capabilities. * I will try your advice and see where it gets me thank you. * Also, if there were a backup of this custom home page; where would it be? What plugins would provide such a thing? * Further, if there was no backup; how can I go about making one? I’ve tried manually deactivating them since I don’t have access to the folders as far as I know (somebody else admins and has set this website up), and it didn’t seem to have any effect. * I do have a sinking feeling that the ‘custom home-page’ was just simply reset after the updates. None of the other ‘pages’ are affected in any way. * It just seems like a fairly odd thing to happen after a simple update but I know next to nothing about how wordpress operates.
