In reply to: [Maintenance Mode] Two requests for admin sectionHi there,
Thanks for the request, this is not the first time where topic about roles came up so I’ll definitely look in to adding this in to the plugin, I’ll just need to consider whether it will be a core functionality or in form of add-on for 2.0
In case I’ll decide to push this as a core functionality, I might include this in next minor release (1.5)

In reply to: [Maintenance Mode] Unwanted code in header??Hi There,
Unfortunately, this is coming from WordPress core as this plugin uses it’s core function wp_die().
Theoretically, I could overwrite their template and use a custom one but that would make updates harder and I would have to keep track of any changes in the core and update plugin accordingly which is not very efficient way.
reference: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/4.4/src/wp-includes/functions.php#L2554
In 2.0 there will be some nice new features including custom template add-on – so the plugin will say as it is, simple and clean and for users that wish to extend it’s functionality, there will be a few add-ons available including addon to have more custom template.
I hope that helps, cheers.

In reply to: [Maintenance Mode] Bypass by IP addressHi Jimmy,
That’s sounds reasonable, one alternative option would be to give your client login details or create an account for wp-admin which means that if they are logged in – they would see site normally but I understand that you might not want to give them access at first.
2.0 is currently in development which will contain various hooks for the plugin and I’ll also introduce couple of addons where one of these addons might be IP bypass. This way I’ll keep plugin simple but also give opportunity to extend it’s functionalities if needed.
I can’t give you estimate on when this will be available as I’m doing it in my free time which is quite limited but there are definitely plans for hooks in very near future.
Thank you!

In reply to: [Maintenance Mode] "Maintenance Mode: Disabled" in admin bar for non-adminsHi Jimmy,
Sure, that sounds like sensible thing to do although you can always completely disable plugin if not using.
Thank you, I’m always open to suggestions, I’ll consider this even thought many people are used to it the way it is and I would like to avoid confusion in case I would do this change.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Maintenance Mode] Use of shortcodesHi Johnny,
Unfortunately, plugin does not support short codes at the moment. I’ll consider this and see If I’ll introduce shortcode support in the next update.
I’ll keep you posted.
Thank you!

In reply to: [Maintenance Mode] Can't disable MMHi there!
Are you using any cache plugins ? Such as w3 total cache etc. ? If yes, you have to flush your cache.
Also try disabling all other plugins and see if that works.
If your problem persists, please let me know and I’ll try to assist you further.
Thank you,
Lukas
Update: Just ran some more tests (especially because of today’s update) but everything seems to be fine. Must have something to do with plugins, cache or template.
