 * Why don’t you just publish the link of your category page, something like yourdomain.
   com/categoryA in your site?

 * Is the database located at the same server with your WordPress installation? 
   If it is, just put localhost as the value in the config file should be able solve
   the issue.

 * If you totally new to WordPress, you may try WordPress.com to get familiar with
   the Dashboard interface and some basic functions first. However WordPress.com
   doesn’t allow you to install theme and plugins. After you know how to play with
   all the basic functions, you can move on to self hosted WordPress.
