Have you seen the ratings? That plugin is foobar and like so for months. * Would not be here if WordPress.org would get their act together and support a plugin with 1M+ installs. But apparently no one over there feels responsible or can be asked to either reply to support threads or actually patch the darn thing. * So either pay for premium plugins that then also are apparently not for importing XML files or be left on one’s own. * You see like so many other people out there importing test data into a theme is essential for developing a theme. Not being able to do that is messed up. * Loosing highly valuable time with trying to get the test data imported rather than actually working on the theme. Re-installing WAMP to check for errors and if that does not help going to give XAMPP a shot. * Regarding your plugin, I have installed it from the Dashboard. If I run WP from a dir that is NOT the root is there another installation procedure that I should use? * Have you seen wptest.io ? Not supported, none of the devs care, no replies. Spent 2 days trying to import data with this. Always throws a different error. Timeout set way up, similar to your settings, still errors come up. Yes it is irrelevant to the review section and does not or should not count towards a review per se, but reacting like this and infringing on privacy rights, hmm, now that is a different league and I am defiantly not playing in this league. * Think about what impact this has on other customers. I got here looking for a WP Import tool since the normal WP Importer has issues, reading this review and seeing all this personal info posted as some sort of “revenge” possibly while being angry about the way you got treated, that is wrong, EVEN if the customer did not behave correctly.
