This site DOES have at least one plugin I havent used before so I will have a wander down this route. I have contacted my hosts about the problem and they are normally pretty good at spotting that sort of thing. I have multo domain hosting and its working fine on other sites they host. Someone made a comment on a thread that if you change size settings you have to completely reupload the image to be used. * I had been unlinking and relinking within the page.
