 * No, I’ve given up on it – too much time and trouble spent already, I’ll just
   use ftp – (unless you have a quick and easy suggestion!!)

 * Maybe it’s something to do with Plesk then. I found [this article](http://www.wordpress-master.com/upload-permissions-wordpress-plesk.html)
   which suggests turning off Safe Mode. Anyone have an opinion on this?

 * Yes I’m running PLESK too, and the uploads folder was showing user Apache until
   I deleted it and created it again. Still didn’t work though.

 * I’m not on my own machine – at work where they have IE6, so I’ve been sneakily
   checking my page! Didn’t know the CTRL and F5 trick – worked a treat, I’ll remember
   that one, thanks.

 * Hi Esmi
 * Thanks for your reply. I think it may be something to do with the computer I’ve
   been working on, (?something to do with cached files, although I have cleared
   them) because when I checked it at [http://www.browsershots.org](http://www.browsershots.org),
   the changes did take effect.
 * Liz
