  • Just googling my own tab troubles – found this thread. I’m experiencing same tab issues, only more buggy.

New bug: Page builder/Elementor 3.19.4, is so slow to execute that it hangs. Saving is sometimes endless spinning.. And the tab preview isn’t loading the template styles, so they look like naked html.

The site is updated weekly and all plugins are pretty up-to-date, so this bug report post dates this remedy. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Will be testing plugins, but thought I’d start seeing if it’s out there for others.

Ran across this thread while having the same issue – used “Better Search and Replace” to replace a link, dumped site cache and none of the Elementor content updated even though I replaced all table instances. Having to hand check all instances — frustrating.

Thank you this is helpful, but one more question — I am the site dev, while I have admin privilege to the GA I don’t own the actual domain, do I need to get the client/owner to do this?

Hi, Lucas so here’s today’s issue with your plugin — a site using Elementor Pro, (FYI not using your pro version of events here because it’s been so erratic I don’t want to purchase a plugin that more expensive than elementor itself) I need to show “past events” and created a past events category. The Elementor Pro module which offers the option of showing “Events” and adding a term to filter those dozen or so “past events” nothing shows up. Now I can do a manual post list, but that means it has to be updated constantly. Also I’ve had this same issue with sites that were pro so I gave up on any benefits to pro. You can go back a few years in support request and see me asking a similar question and no great answer to it. I can show one of links to you page of all events but I do not want that solution. It’s cumbersome doesn’t allow it to be embedded in another page with other content

Now if the solution is to start monkeying with my functions file — I’m not going to be happy because this site is not on a shared hosting environment so I can’t just swap out function files if it goes kuput.

Woot, Woot, figured it out see this https://theeventscalendar.com/known-issues/ apparently we all need to uncheck use new styles in the “display” tab — it wipes everything out when it’s checked

I’ve got the same sort of issues going on, just happened when updating to the 5.0.0.1, the latest update, crap and of course not a good time to lose all my event pagination. I’ve got a suggestion why not put in a rollback option on this plugin. Like Elementor’s Premium Add Ons. I’ve used this plugin on multiple site both paid and free and it is seriously buggy. Each update I have to just hope I’ll get lucky. It was a good solution in the past but now I’m not sure, might be easier to just use Advanced Custom fields.

I have gone through the Integrating The Events Calendar with Slider Revolution and Essential Grid, and nothing in there address the issue — I’ve rebuilt and tried a dozen different work arounds and nothing works. Even tried going into Tribe’s php and see if I could ID how the php is handling past events. Tried adding CSS to make the past events show up in case it was a simple “display” issue and still nothing. Even tried using something similar to Ess. grid and it to had the same issue.

Tried a different Event plugin and DID NOT have that issue with Ess grid and so after much testing I must say that it seems to be related specifically to Tribe Events code not Ess. Grid or Revolution. Which is a shame because Tribe has a better feature set and I can not imagine I’m the first person to have this issue. Is there any possibility of paying you to answer this specific question before I pay for the plugin itself???

John, thank you for addressing my concerns and the refund, and I apologize if my comment suggested it was a lift — if I could remove it I would, but not seeing any option to edit. I will go ahead and mark this as resolved.

Having the same issue myself – use NextGen often and went to install for new site dev. using Graphene as base theme and ran into same issue — no access to NGG options without scrolling through like you said — assumed it was NGG to old for new WP admin, last update to NGG was quite some time ago. I’ll check back if i figure it out, surely someone else has same prob.

Glad to see this is not a closed question — as I’ve used the above code but end up with my template styling being killed by the plugin’s single.php — surely there is a way use only the event brite calendar data/tables but and not mix it with the template loop??

Template tags solutions seems like a rather pieced together series of calls.

So how do we use this code without inter-mixing it in the core loop which will kill the already styled template loop??? Rewriting the core loop seems to be the long way around when this is a plugin.

It’s a fantastic plugin, but don’t think I can use it until it’s a more modular implementation process — unless someone can tell me if there a secret work around.
