 * Managed to get the htaccess file edited. Was doing it by FTP and it didn’t seem
   to be working but it was.
 * It didn’t help though. I’m still locked out of wp-admin or wp-login.php due to
   a “redirect loop.” The CSS on the site is all still disabled. I’m stumped.
 * I can reinstall WordPress from a fresh download, can’t I? Are there any concerns
   about losing anything to do with SEO if I do that? It’s been a long day fighting
   this & I need to make sure before I attempt.
 * Thanks for your help!

 * Really looking for help please. I’ve never had so much trouble fixing a site.
 * In the error logs I get: “PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library‘/
   usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20100525/imagick.so’ – libMagickWand.
   so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on
   line 0”
 * Don’t even know what to do with that.
 * Also the htaccess file will NOT let me remove any of the lines in it pertaining
   to W3Total Cache 🙁
 * Anyone?
 * Thank you!!

 * Thanks [@juggledad](https://wordpress.org/support/users/juggledad/).
 * Going through the files, I don’t think there is an extra htaccess file. However
   I found wp-supercache — I’m wondering if that may be the problem/solution.
 * I’m going to try getting rid of supercache using the details on this post: [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-super-cache-killed-my-site?replies=46](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-super-cache-killed-my-site?replies=46)
 * Still open to ideas, though!

 * Update… I had a lucky hunch it was the wp-meetup plugin, one of the plugins I
   had just updated. I disabled only this plugin and it resolved the issue instantly!
   Just thought I’d put that in there for anyone else who runs into this notice.

   Thanks for reading! 🙂 Lindsay

 * Thanks WPyogi.
 * In the Ottopress article it says
    “Base64_decode (and the similar uudecode) are
   the main way to find malicious code used today. There’s almost never a good reason
   to use them. Note the “almost” there, many plugins (notably the venerable Google
   Sitemap Generator) use base64_decode in legitimate ways. So it’s not exactly
   a smoking gun, but it is highly questionable for some randomly named file lying
   around to have that inside it.”
 * I was wondering if it could be legit, but there is a lot of the Base64 code showing
   up across several different files. Then, the free Securi scan as well as several
   other free online scans show this website as being “clean,” so somehow they’re
   either missing the code or I am over-reacting.
 * Anyways… better safe than sorry I suppose. Thanks for your assistance.

 * The plugins include

   org.
 * The article on backdoors concerns me, as I’m not a programmer. If I reinstall
   a fresh copy of wordpress 3.5.1 and a fresh install of all the plugins, how do
   I test further?
 * Thanks for your help.

 * Okay. Done. Thank you so much for your help… I might have it working again…
 * Know what’s crazy — I read a tip on this support page about extra blank lines
   in your wp-config file. [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/blank-admin-pages](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/blank-admin-pages)
 * Opened mine, turned out that W3C Total Cache plugin had inserted a line at the
   beginning, and there were some blank lines around it.
 * Took the blank lines out at the beginning & end of the file.
 * Functionality so far seems to be restored. Just backing up & will update to 3.5.
 * Now to put everything back to “normal” again… sigh! Hopefully this will do it.

 * Yes… thanks… just figured that out too. So I renamed it, and there are some php
   error messages on most admin pages. But I can navigate to the Themes page. However
   when I try to activate TwentyEleven, I get this:
 * Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started
   at /home/content/07/7324307/html/wp-content/themes/thematic/functions.php:1)
   in /home/content/07/7324307/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 881
 * Can I activate TwentyEleven without this user interface?
 * The php error on the Themes page is just this (instead of Admin header): Warning:
   Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at/
   home/content/07/7324307/html/wp-content/themes/thematic/functions.php:1) in /
   home/content/07/7324307/html/wp-includes/option.php on line 563

 * [@esmi](https://wordpress.org/support/users/esmi/) – thank you for your reply.
 * Unfortunately when I tried to disable all the plugins, I got the blank screen
   again. So no disabled plugins… not sure how to disable them over FTP without
   losing all the settings.
 * When I went to check on the settings for Gravity Forms, I got this message: ***
   You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.*** Great.
 * After renaming the plugins folder back to Plugins, I got some of the CSS back
   on the front-end… so now the website is a really big mess. 🙁
 * I hate to leave it but I just can’t put the time in at this moment. Scrap.

 * [@esmi](https://wordpress.org/support/users/esmi/)… only because I haven’t put
   the time in to maintain over the past few months as I’ve been working hard on
   paid work… guess it’s a good reminder to teach someone else to run updates.
 * It seems to be a plugin maybe? My best bet is to disable all of them then?

 * Ok… so that’s fascinating… just renamed the plugin folder temporarily to easily
   disable all plugins… and the CSS started to work again on the front-end. Seems
   to be a plugin conflict…

 * Thanks for taking a look [@krishna](https://wordpress.org/support/users/krishna/).
   I ended up with over 1,500 emails from the plugin last night before I decided
   to switch to rss notifications. So strange.
