It means that if you have two bbpress topics on one webpage only one topic will have the like button.“Is there a way I can just have the free version and not do the trial? That way I will know what features are included and get a feeling for how it works with out crossing features from different plans?”

The widget “Most liked content” is available on PRO plan or higher.
“Also even though I’m on the trial and have likes registered the widget just says: No items liked yet. :S”

After about 2 weeks Google will find structured data on your website. If Google internal algorithms will decide after about 2 months Google will begin displaying Rich Snippets for your website in search results.
Google is able to display a bit more information about the actual result including star rating and the number of votes but you can’t set it by yourself.

Yes, it’s possible. You should enable only like button without dislike and then enable “Google Rich Snippets” on the Buttons tab of the plugin: https://likebtn.com/en/faq#rich_snippets_enable.

You can hide the counter only for all users including admin. But the admin can use Statistics tab of the plugin to see the number likes/dislikes.
