I needed to make one page on a site full width without changing the default page width for the rest. * I installed the SuperSlider-Perpost-Code plugin to give me custom CSS per page. Then I pasted in the css so helpfully provided by Nexcius and B16WLL. Voila! This is the only thing that worked for me. Modifying the theme & child theme’s functions.php files had no effect. * I must say, I love BuddyPress, but it’s irritating that it hijacks the registration page. Your eye for composition and ability to capture images well are impressive. I’m a “serious amateur” photographer myself, so I can appreciate some of the technical challenges you’ve met and conquered — for example, the details in the white flower in [0942SPO.jpg](http://justflak.com/blog/0942spo-jpg/). * And you’ve got a good clean layout — good use of the Twenty Ten theme. (Be sure to create a [child theme](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes) if you want to modify any of Twenty Ten’s templates or css code.) * Some notes accompanying each picture would add interest (at least where & when you took it, possibly notes on the camera / aperture / etc. for the photography geeks, etc.). * I’d like to see meaningful titles for the photos, too. With just file names like 1125SPO.jpg, the visitor can’t find an image by entering “daisy” or “bee” in the Search field. (The file naming scheme also means that the visitor clicking on the Archives links gets a list of posts called 1122SPO.jpg, 1121SPO.jpg, 0967SPO. jpg, etc. — instead of “Daisy Closeup,” “Purple Flower Bokeh,” “Vintage Popcorn Ad Mural,” or whatever names you’d want to give them.) * However, you have done a good job of giving the photos meaningful tags, so the visitor can search for terms in the Tag Cloud in the sidebar. * One last comment: If you’re not using the calendar to link to upcoming events or some kind of “On this date in photography…” listings, I’d get rid of it so the visitor can focus on the other more important stuff in the sidebar. * Good site, and I look forward to seeing more of your work! 🙂 * Forum: [Your WordPress](https://wordpress.org/support/forum/your-wordpress/) In reply to: [New audio blog – please review](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/new-audio-blog-please-review/) * Thread Starter [lightrail](https://wordpress.org/support/users/lightrail/) * (@lightrail) * [15 years, 2 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/new-audio-blog-please-review/#post-2113691) * Thanks, kentucky — good tip on uniformity of players. [MP3-jPlayer](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mp3-jplayer/) uses a different format for a single-track player vs. playlist player. I switched to the shortcode for a playlist (but referencing just one track) for “[Hammering and Blue Jays](http://www.okrasonic.com/hammering-and-blue-jays/),” so now it looks like the others. 🙂 * I want to figure out how to remove the “1.” before the track name when there’s only one track in the “playlist,” since the number leads the visitor to think there are more tracks in the playlist. That’s not an option in the MP3-jPlayer settings, though. So I’ll check into that and see what I can find out. * The theme changer idea is a great tip also. I didn’t know such plugins existed, so that may be something I want to try. * The clock is tempting. One of the biggest challenges was finding a way to play audio( both single files and playlists) that would work for **all** browsers and platforms. Most of the options I’ve found are Flash-based, which means iPhone & iPad users get no love. I finally settled on MP3-jPlayer, which is working well so far. * I’m using a child theme based on Twenty Ten.
