did some additional playing with the site after reading some additional stuff. If I switch the template that I was attempting to use for the default one that comes with wordpress things come back.
At this point I’m guessing there must be some hardcoded values in the template I downloaded that are incorrectly set when the index.php is changed. *sigh. Now I need to go and figure out what they are. 🙁

No one has ever seen wordpress return blank pages after changing the blog url under options and moving the index.php?
I’ve tested it successfully that php is still running and placing ‘Hello Worlds’ at various places throughout the code shows the ‘require’ statements to be correctly finding the correct files. Its just absolutely nothing other than the test code is being sent back to the browser?
Anyone? Everyone is gone for the weekend?
