thanks for taking the time to do a good honest review. You bring to light some good points on costs. One thing I might also add here is the free edition is often used by our users though without connecting to gateways such as paypal, stripe, or square via our SaaS connect services. Many use it in catalog mode to just display products and don’t need ecommerce, and quite a few of our businesses just use the free manual payment method, which allows users and businesses to collect an order, then invoice users for payments. It’s pretty interesting to see how people utilize the software and we are constantly analyzing the situation and good feedback like yours is essential to that, so thanks.

We normally don’t support or answer much over here as we don’t monitor it… just an FYI. But I happened to be on here and see this post so I an answer quickly.
We have under each product the way to turn on the quantity amount. Enable this overall quantity tracking to 1 and put in a value of 1 for each item.
When it sells, the button will disappear to ‘add to cart’ and it will show ‘sold out’ so nobody can purchase.
We don’t turn off the product, but you can then go in every few days if you wanted and actually remove any items that are sold out.

We don’t normally look here for support, you might jump to http://www.wpeasycart.com/my-account and we have support docs, forums, videos, etc… but to your point, we can certainly look into things with a support ticket over there.
Only thing I can think of here is to FTP to your site and open your /wp-content/plugins/ and you can deactivate plugins by changing their main PHP file extention from .php to .xyz and it will deactivate the plugin manually.
That should get you started back up.

I’d be happy to help with this, just jump over to http://www.wpeasycart.com and jump on chat with us some time… We usually provide pretty good support, even to our free users with chat and get solutions pretty quick. Most of our past reviews here are solid 5 stars and comment on our support.
We try to be responsive and quick, maybe we just got a communication mix-up and sent you a robot response asking to submit support… it happens… but if any free user is having issues, we certainly try to help out.
Hello, sorry you had a bad experience… Our free edition does use Square, Stripe, and PayPal and run through a connect system for payments, we try to state this very clearly on all our pricing pages and sign-ups when you utilize those systems in the free edition. Sorry it was unclear.
Many of our customers use the system as even catalog systems for their wordpress, not even implementing payment gateways, or utilize a bill/invoice system which doesn’t have any process fees either.
For technical support, we do require full licenses… gotta get paid to develop and support somehow 🙂 If you do have any issues, jump on chat with us, we would gladly help answer any questions you may have about our product.
