 * Hello Ipstenu,
 * That’s a very good question. (More like what Plugin did I have running.) Allow
   me to clarify what I did.
 * I installed BuddyPress, s2Member and after playing around I installed “Add New
   Default Avatar” to see if I could add a site default avatar. But I didn’t like
   that last Plugin so I removed it and that was when I ran into the problem. It
   seems in removing “Add New Default Avatar” I broke something.

 * Thanks to the two of you for your help!!! I now have it running.
 * It seem all I really need to do was set my sub-domains to the same IP address,
   in the A Records, as the primary domain. (In other words, I over-complicated
   it.) duh!

 * Murali,
 * I jumped the gun… I went back and noticed my URL for the subdomain was NOT the
   same as the default site. I changed it and it worked.
 * I will play around and change the subdomain site and then report back all the
   details of the troubles I had so others will learn from my mistakes.
 * I also would like to thank Ipstenu!
 * Cheers!

 * Hello Murali,
 * First, thank you very much for the response.
 * I see what you have done with the subdomains in the DNS manager and I had done
   the same thing. I had my subdomains pointing to root directory and the same IP
   address. The subdomains open (or should I say point to) the same default but
   with the subdomain url.
 * So now my question is… how do I get the site to display only the content related
   to the selected subdomains as you do on your site? How or where do I change the
   themes and plugins for each of the subdomains?
 * I would like to create a menu like you have where the user could select a give
   local community event.
 * On another note, but on subject, is it possible to set up users to be redirected
   to a default subdomains? For example, add a variable flag in the database, which
   associates the user to a default local community event?
 * (I see so many advantages to using subdomains and therefor would love to get
   this to work.)
 * Thanks again for your help.
 * Cheers
    Leo

 * Thanks for the response!
 * Unfortunately I do not have cPanel on goDaddy. When a user on new Subdomain to
   a hosted site on goDaddy, they have to add it as a forwarding subdomain. However,
   there is a DNS manager where I can see the subdomains mapping/pointing to the
   site’s IP address. These displays in a table labled ‘A (Host)’ and I see a CNAME
   table where I assume I would want to add the subdomains? If so would I be correct
   to say i would have to add the subdomains like this:
    CNAME (Alias): sub1 Point
   to: *.mydomainname.com (Please understand these are the two columns listed in
   this table.
 * I also see a table labled NS(Nameserver) but I’m not sure if thata where I should
   be adding the information.
 * Forgive me, but I new to playing around to actually setting up the back like
   this.
 * Thanks for your time and help.
