  • Hi @jmcelhaney,

    I am having the same issue as TO so I just reply here. If that’s not okay, please let me know 🙂

    When a form is submitted, the button turns to Processing and also gets stuck. Deactivating and reactivating some plugins told me that a specific plugin causes this: Shortcode Variables.

    I checked the JS files of the this plugin, but can’t find any missing stuff using an editor that highlights errors.

    Now, do I need to contact them and if yes what should I tell them, since they are not aware of the cause: I don’t know how to create such a specific error report as TO, so I don’t have a clue what’s going on 😅

    Some help would be lovely 🙂

    Thanks!

    EDIT:

    – Switching off AJAX in the forms ‘resolves’ the problem. But of course that’s just a workaround.

    – I turned on WP_DEBUG and when I looked on the form page in the admin area I saw a new form was magically created! The title/name(!) of this form is:

    Notice: Undefined index: form_title in /var/www/vhosts/xxxxxxxx/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/ninja-forms/deprecated/includes/admin/pages/ninja-forms/tabs/form-list/form-list.php on line 185

    That’s kind of strange haha. Of course it’s an empty form.

    – Also on the top of the forms page in the admin it says:

    Notice: Undefined index: date_updated in /var/www/vhosts/lijfhartenziel.nl/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/ninja-forms/deprecated/includes/admin/pages/ninja-forms/tabs/form-list/form-list.php on line 169

    Maybe this is helpful.

    Good question, @wordpress7255!

    I would like to know too, @kboyte. Can you please give us an update on this issue?

    Thank you so much!

    Great! 😀

    I am waiting too!

    I did find the instructions for the settings (https://wpdiscuz.com/docs/wpdiscuz-documentation/gdpr/right-to-be-informed/), but the options aren’t in the plugin yet.

    I hope the update will come soon!

    Thanks 🙂

    EDIT:

    For the time being you can place this snippet in your functions.php:

    add_action( 'comment_form_after', 'gdpr_alert_wpdiscuz', 10);
    function gdpr_alert_wpdiscuz() {
        echo 'The comment form collects your name, email and content to allow us keep track of the comments placed on the website. Please read and accept our website <a href="https://example.com/terms/" target="_blank">Terms</a> and <a href="https://example.com/privacy/">Privacy Policy</a> to post a comment.';
    }

    Note: Please change the above URLs to your website Terms and Privacy Policy page URLs.

    It displays this message right underneath your comment form:

    “The comment form collects your name, email and content to allow us keep track of the comments placed on the website. Please read and accept our website Terms and Privacy Policy to post a comment.”

    No checkbox, but at least something 🙂

    Hi @gvectorssupport,

    I’m very interested in that! Can you update us on when this will be released?

    Thanks! 🙂

    @xtramark, super! Many thanks for doing the investigation and reporting back at us 🙂

    @wfyann, is there any workaround until cURL and OpenSSL will be updated at ones hosting provider? Thanks!

    I have the same problem! Since March 14th I get this error, as I can see in the log. Until that time, it worked fine.

    I hope you get an answer soon 🙂

    I have the same problem as jodamade: since the last update of 11/28 I don’t get the back-up by email. I do get the success message by email, so I don’t think the email address is the problem.

    I also tried to back-up manually, but with the same result.

    Hope anyone can solve this problem, thanks! 🙂

    PS I see the topic is marked as ‘Resolved’, but as far as I can see it isn’t for the topic author (maybe you can change it, @jodamade?)

    Hi Mike @mikejolley

    I want to use something alike:
    A product that has 1 attribute, but customers can select multiple values of that same attribute.

    For instance:
    When buying a book, the customer may choose 3 gifts – all from the same list.

    I planned to add 3 attributes (Gift 1, Gift 2 and Gift 3), but woocommerce needs that they all have their own values, which makes it a lot of work because there are 15 gifts to choose from, so I have to set those same 15 gifts 3 times.

    Do you have an idea how I can create this?

    Thank you! 🙂

    Thank you @marcochiesi! 🙂

    Hi Jeroen,

    Just so you know, your code worked for me! 🙂
    Thanks for your support!!

    Hi Jeroen,

    I totally understand, no sorries!

    I will try this code. It’s not that important, but it would be convenient to use the live editor of SO.

    So if it doesn’t work I’m still very happy with your great plugin! 🙂

    Have a nice day!

    UPDATE:
    I used this query:

    SELECT * FROM wp_postmeta pm LEFT JOIN wp_posts wp ON wp.ID = pm.post_id WHERE wp.ID IS NULL;
    DELETE pm FROM wp_postmeta pm LEFT JOIN wp_posts wp ON wp.ID = pm.post_id WHERE wp.ID IS NULL;

    to clean up the wp_postmeta and it deleted over 15000 entries (mentioning that my website is still in development and on localhost). So that’s a relief 🙂

    I manually deleted the pages first, so hopefully this is it.

    I do like to know if the _em_ entries in wp_options are from Events Manager. Thanks!

    • This reply was modified 2 years, 4 months ago by ldwd.

    Ok thank you, I will try.

    You say the wp_options data is not yours. Doens’t the _em_ stand for Events Manager? Just thinking 🙂

    Also, the 5 pages created by the plugin are not deleted.
    Oh boy, it’s a mess…

    Oh my, I also have *thousands* of entries in my wp_postmeta.

    I see meta keys:
    _event_rsvp
    _event_rsvp_spaces
    _event_private
    _event_end_date
    _event_end_time
    _event_all_day
    _end_ts
    _start_ts
    _recurrence_byday
    _recurrence_days
    _recurrence_id
    _recurrence_interval
    _recurrence_rsvp_days

    Is this from Events Manager?

    I haven’t installed any events plugin at the moment and before I tried Events Manager I tried one other plugin, but I can’t remember which one. It might be from that one too.

    Please help!
