I wasn’t saying I didn’t believe you, I was just saying it had occurred with other hosted images i.e IMGUR, and they had managed a workaround was using an old widget form, which I don’t have ability to use on my website. I believe however it might be a Custom HTML widget issue – as I have found someone who has same issue but using imgur.com. She managed to get it to work using the text widget, but uses the old version of widgets and not the block widgets.
