 * Search for a php file editor of some variety, since it also would run as user
   nobody. You may also be able to use the cpanel’s file browser in the same way.
 * I’m not sure how to fix it from happening again though, permissions on a shared
   host is always annoying 🙁

 * I was prompted to upgrade today and I found a mention of [this auto-update plugin](http://techie-buzz.com/wordpress-plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade-plugin.html).
   It’s not quite as nice as having a built-in upgrade system but it is less of 
   a headache than manual FTP uploading.
