In reply to: [Stained Glass] Take away the Search field in footerI also want to know… hmmm doesn’t seem as though there is much support for this theme.

In reply to: [Stained Glass] Remove calendar from pages right sidebarI see, thanks for your reply. I can not even find the place to remove that widget and put in another one (in customizer no widgets seem to be applied, that I can find), so gave up and went to all full pages with no sidebar. If you remember where you went to replace the original calendar widget, I’d appreciate you pointing me to that.

In reply to: [Stained Glass] Remove calendar from pages right sidebarI notice that your question is marked resolved about how to delete the calendar from the right sidebar of the Stained Glass theme, but I don’t see an answer that told you how. Would you be so kind as to post it here, if you figured out how to do this?

In reply to: Viewing categories or search requests a passwordI’m wondering if somehow the iThemes Security plugin might have done this.

In reply to: Getting Cheatin' uh? on child themeHello Calvin,
I’ve discovered what my problem was, and as usual it was something stupid! I had improperly named the folder that my child-theme was in, using capitals and spaces. As soon as I changed the folder to exclude them, the theme registered and I’m able to use it.
Thanks again for your patience.

In reply to: Getting Cheatin' uh? on child themeHi Calvin,
Thank you for the suggestion. I did try that before as I saw it was a new recommended way to create the child theme, and it didn’t work. I wondered if it was because the theme I’m making a child for is a few years old now.
At any rate, I tried again using the enquie method, but I am still getting ‘Cheatin eh’
Here is what I have done:
Theme folder located in wp-content/themes
functions.php and style.css inside the theme folder<?php add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'wpsites_load_parent_styles'); function wpsites_load_parent_styles() { wp_enqueue_style( 'parent-styles', get_template_directory_uri().'/style.css' ); }
/* Theme Name: Mrs. Treble Clef's Play House Theme URI: Description: Twenty Thirteen Child Theme Author: Author URI: Template: twentythirteen Version: License: GNU General Public License v2 or later License URI: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html Tags: responsive-layout, accessibility-ready Text Domain: twenty-thirteen-child */
I’ve even tried using this to create a child theme of Twenty Fourteen (even though that’s not the one I want to use), just to see if it would work, but all I get is ‘Cheatin eh’

In reply to: Getting Cheatin' uh? on child themeHi Calvin,
Thanks for your reply. Yes I have the child theme inside the wp-content/themes/ and I tried first with a ‘functions.php’ file as well, although I don’t really need one. I’ve made child themes before so am not new to it, but this time it just refuses to work!
Any other ideas?
Thank you,

In reply to: [List category posts] problem with contentI’m trying to display the content as well and not having any luck. I’m using [catlist name=cougar post-type=all content=yes] which is displaying a list of all my cougar category posts, but it won’t display any content. I’ve tried excerpt as well and it doesn’t work either.
Any help appreciated!
I’ve tried hiding the shortcodes but it breaks my theme. I’m using a child theme based on Twenty-Fourteen. Any suggestions?
I decided to use the WordPress Shortcodes plugin, so changed my websites to using those shortcodes. It means you have to go into your CSS and style them, but they work. I only had 3 websites using the accordions though – I’m sure if you have a multitude you don’t want to be redoing all your work on them.
Hope that helps.
Super everwill! Looking forward to it, and thank you.
My plugins for accordions (thethe Fly accordion) and for image slider (thetheFly image-slider) are both broken after upgrading to 3.5.1
I’ve deleted them from the site now, but I have other sites I dont’ want to update until I know how to fix this issue.
