 * [@alfy86](https://wordpress.org/support/users/alfy86/) Unfortunately, I still
   do not find any solutions other than deactivating the plugin. I haven’t contacted
   the Ninja Forms other than asking in this forum. Though I see the “resolved”
   badge on this thread..
 * Why can we not solve this problem in this support forum, isn’t this what this
   forum for?
 * Especially, when more than one user faces this problem..

 * I have the same problem with two different sites with two different conditions(
   both are using WordPress 5.0 Beta 2, and are all new sites);
 * 1. Site #1 **no plugins** activated but when I clicked edit, it shows me a blank
   page. I found out that it is related to the memory or my host configuration (
   it is hosted in a cheap shared hosting)
 * 2. Site #2 is new, with Yoast SEO plugin installed, hosted in a more expensive
   shared hosting. When I clicked edit, it does not show me the blank page, but
   if I activated the Yoast SEO plugin it showed me a blank page.
 * So from here, I think either it is your host configuration or your other plugins.
   I notice Yoast is not the only plugin that causes the site showing blank page
   once edit button is clicked.
 * I am going to post this on Yoast Support forum if anyone has not posted this
   yet.
 * Hope your problem is now fixed.

 * Hello,
 * I assume that you have both the files and the database backup.
 * 1. In the new host, prepare your new database.
    2. Upload WordPress files via
   FTP. 3. Then import your old database from backup in your new database via phpMyAdmin.
   4. Edit your wp-config.php to match with the new database on the step 1 above.
 * Reference: [http://codex.wordpress.org/Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup](http://codex.wordpress.org/Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup)
 * Without database backup from the old site, you can’t restore a WordPress site.

 * David,
 * No, it is different from theme to theme, as they are differently coded.
 * I noticed your theme is a premium theme you purchased from a developer, so I
   guess it would be the best, if you contact the theme developer to get the best
   support.

 * Hello David,
 * It would be more helpful if you let us know, what theme you are using? If Twenty
   Fourteen you can look in this codex page. [http://codex.wordpress.org/Twenty_Fourteen](http://codex.wordpress.org/Twenty_Fourteen)

 * The .htaccess looks ok.
 * Did you know what was the content before you create the new one? Because a few
   plugins added code in .htaccess sometimes.
 * But if you disabled the plugins, and re-new .htaccess then it shouldn’t be a
   problem with .htaccess.
 * I guess it’s the webhost.

 * I don’t think so, can you copy the content of .htaccess and paste it here. (or
   if too long in pastebin.com)
 * You can modify the private data if there is any before copy and paste 🙂

 * Did you succeed to deactivate all of your plugins? You can actually deactivate
   them without logging into your dashboard, by renaming the plugins folder inside
   wp-content via FTP or cPanel.
 * Rename the plugins folder to plugins2 or something and try to update again.
 * Also you mentioned, all of your sites 😀 If you use shared hosting those sites
   might cause problems, although they offer “unlimited” all, but they can slow
   the servers.

 * Hi Lucy,
 * If you modified the customizr, download the copy of this theme to your computer,
   and then delete it from your server, and let’s see if it solves the problem.
 * If you haven’t modified it, just delete it, you can always install the fresh
   one later on.

 * Download your theme to your computer, and then delete the theme which is called“
   Platform” because this theme is currently causing the problem in your website.
 * You can do this with FTP or login directly to your cPanel.

 * I had this problem too a few years ago, and I found it was actually my server.
 * Did you deactivate all of your active plugins before clicking update? Or you
   can disable all plugins before to manually update it?.
